As a big fan of comedy movies, I was wondering what other people had on their list of favorite comedy movies. My personal top list is quite long (no particular order and probably lacking many great movies).

The Blues Brothers
Blazing Saddles
Silent Movie
Spaceballs
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Monty Python's Life of Brian
Blue Streak
Rush Hour
Robin Hood: Men in Tights
The Producers (old and new, although the old one is better)
Airplane!
The Bad News Bears (first one, and new remake)
The Hebrew Hammer
Dodgeball
Canadian Bacon
Nation Lampoon's Vacation (first, vegas, and christmas)
Happy Gilmore
Billy Madison
David Blaine's DVD of his specials (man I get a laugh out of those)
History of the World Part 1
Animal House

Plus many more.

What are your thoughts?

Charlie Chaplin's short films

The Birdcage (equivalent of La Cage aux Folles)

That Monty Python movie...I think it's called Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail or something along those lines...that was hilarious!

For me, it is "What About Bob?", hands down. Bill Murray and Richards Dreyfuss, et al.... are great.

Also great is the little known, "One, Two, Three" with James Cagney and Horst Bucholz (did I spell that last name correctly?).

Funniest scene from a movie: the vomit scene from "Monty Python's Meaning of Life". Clearly, not for all tastes, but I laughed so hard I thought I would have to leave the theater, but I knew that if I tried to get up, I would have fallen to the floor. As Leonard Maltin wrote in his movie review book, "An unforgettable scene, like it or not."
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".
