My quickie review on the effects

Fan Mail: The spectator's and the magician's autographs visually change places!
*A simple but POWERFUL opener. I have not much to say but TRY IT. I highly recommend this for serious close-up workers.

Full Lotus: An inexplicable exchange of a folded joker and a signed card!
*Paperclipped goes into higher depths. Really a shocker. This is by far the best handling of the principle.

Shake & Bake: The coin production that proves, "Hearing is believing!"
*A 3 coin production done close-up. Worth learning. Uses back clipping moves. a good lead into..

Slow Motion Coins: A "coins across" effect as deliberate as it is deadly!
*A well thought of routine. Give your cards a break and shock your audiences with this coin routine. A real mind-boggling miracle done at your hands. Strong because the spectator is involved.

Not This Card!: Jay's favorite handling of Frank Everhardt's "Chicago Opener!"
*a strong and visual easy worker.

Shape of Things to Come: A heartstopping, double-climax mentalist's dream!
*a very strong ESP demonstration. I like it.

Real Magic: Freshly written words melt through a dollar bill!
* Probably another routine for the bill switch. Worth learning.

Hypnotarized: A hypnotized spectator starts seeing some truly weird sh*t!
*I didn't care much about this routine.

Litmus Test: A blank card first gains, then loses an identity!
*Not totally impromptu. The moves are demanding for me.

Close Contact: Two spectators, one card, and an astonishing occurance!
*Devious and very STRONG!

Deviant Behavior: Four jokers escape from the pack in a most elegant fashion!
*A brilliant interlude piece. Goes right to my repertoire.

Out of Sight: A deck production combined with a bizarre mental routine!
*A strong mental piece. The routine has built in misdirection. Love it.

Vital Signs: Paper matches travel in and out of the spectator's fist!
*Copper Silver transpo with matches. BRILLIANT!

The Phoenix Effect: Fire + mentalism + a signed card = a reputation maker!
*Talk about commercial. YOur audiences will remember you. Fire with mentalism. A true reputation maker.

Inseparable: The last word on linking rubber band routines!
*A very good take on the linking rubberbands.

One of One: A drawing and a playing card undergo a startling transformation!
*Another killer from the mind of Sankey. Really commercial and I see myself using it.

The dvd contains real workers. you will find routines that you will find using. an 8/10 for me.

I didn't like all of the stuff on this dvd but this is definitely some of Sankey's strongest material in years. Fan Mail is worth the price of admission and you WILL do it. Slo Mo Coins Across is also very nice.

It was a very good DVD. A couple of powerful effects were on it.

I performed Fan Mail, Full Lotus, and The Phoenix Effect at a surprise birthday party over the weekend and generated some of the most awesome responses I've ever received. These three effects are among the best I've learned.

Of all the dvds Sankey has put out, this, some of secret files and the Very Best of Jay Sankey are the best. All the others are decent, mediocre, or bad.

I've also got this and I am a big fan. I particularly enjoy some of the card work, being more of a coin man myself. Particularly Deviant Behavious, Full lotus, Not This Card, Phoenix effect, One on one and Out of Sight, so that's nearly all of them!

One of One, the last trick on the dvd should not be overlooked. Incredible reactions. In fact, I think I'll do it tonight...

I hope there would be a 2nd installment of Front Row with routines that are not cards..
