As stated in another thread, I am a police officer and I give presentations in local schools to children aged from 3-10 years old. For the younger kids (3-6) I do a talk on road safety and the Green Cross Code (look left, look right, look left - or the otherway around depending where you live).
Just wondering if anybody has any ideas of tricks I could incorporate to assist in delivering my message on road safety. |

Changing Arrows looks good. It would be good if they made a "Traffic light" version though.

Do you have "Captain" Karl Wagner's book, Safety Magic for Children? David Ginn sells it for $35, but I've seen him put it on special or on eBay for less. It's a bit dated, but it's right up your alley. Karl made a living on safety magic for many years and has a lot to say about mixing the magic and the message. (David sells the red/yellow/green color changing shoelaces as well.)

The laces are put out by an officer who developed the routine for safety.

They also haave what are called the Safety Ropes. These are Red, Yellow, and,
Green magnetic ropes. Also, they have a trick call Stop Light. I do sell these if you are interested.

Mak magic's stratosphere would be a great prop to use for demonstration for a road safety. The three balls that come with the tube, transparent cylinder, and vanishing box, are yellow, red, and green these can be referred to as the wait, stop, and go you would teach in the safety program etc.
Great prop for that age group joey |
