I work with time delay relays on a regular basis. One company that I use is Potter-Brumfield. Or another is Idec. I do not have a catalog at home but I can get you a part number tomorrow if you are interested. Do have to fit this in a special space? If so give me some dimensions. Thanks Bill

You can use a small, low-tech, spring-driven mechanical camera timer to close a switch on electrical equipment. These self timers were once used to trip camera releases mechanically after a set number of seconds. Eric Lewis wrote about using little Kodak self timers on his apparatus. They released a lever by slowly allowing air to enter a cylinder. There are usually a few of this type for sale on ebay for about $15.
<p>Another suggestion..just fix a thread that winds up on a music box motor spool. Its pull closes a switch or moves something. I use these all the time in the mechanical stuff I make. Dave |
