Does anyone know where I can find (make?) a close-up apron for table hopping. I usally carry sponges, cards, coins, maybe a chain (catch the loop con), TPs, and business card wallets for some of Mike Close's effects. All I have found are balloon aprons and the pockets are too deep. Thanks.

Frank's apron pouch is a thing of beauty. If you don't need something of this quality, black canvas "change" aprons are available at casino supply houses. They are virtually identical but have two separate pockets instead of the "fake" pockets designed into Frank's pouch.

Has anyone tried tool belts like the following from Home Depot?
Click here! (Frank, I'm saving up for the poacher's pouch. Clearly, the gold standard.)) -Daniel |

You don't want to look like you've just come from Home Depot to your gig do you?
Or REI?

Well maybe if "Tim the Toolman" got into magic it might look perfectly natural! But, how natural are pouches of any kind? Even "fanny packs" have gone out of style for the most part (except for Las Vegas tourists. I think they issue them as they get off the plane).
Having said that, a good quality pouch, if justified, shows a certain level of "class" that could be missing if you look like you bought your act from a hardware store. Among others, I have Frank's "Cellini" pouch. Of all of them, it's my favorite. Funny story about the REI thing. I used to work for a "Super Secret" agency and we blended into the crowd just fine... Until some administrator decided we should all shop at REI. Now, you can pick them out in a crowd from a block away with their matching designer backpacks and camping clothes. They looked like they stepped right out of the REI catalog. It was like "Look at us! We're incognito!!!" It's never the guy on the plane in the dark suit with the briefcase handcuffed to his wrist. It's the guy in the jeans and work shirt three seats back that's doing the real work.

That is also true, that's why I posted a link to a waiters supply store in my original message.

Waiter's aprons are not made to hold oranges and the like. the shape "looks" similar but they are meant to hold flat items, not bulky items.
but for $10 at least you could get an idea...

How do you 'cover' the idea of wearing an apron and not being a waiter? I love the idea (for ditches and such) but don't resturant patrons wonder who/what it is you're doing?
