A friend of mine owns a limousine service. He's offered me to use his limos for my shows. His thought was that it would just be neat to arrive at a location in a limo and I agree that would be nice in some situations.
I'm working on a web site for them. It's not nearly done yet but you can look at the one page I made just to see what kind of limos he has. http://www.magicjax.com/limo It got me thinking though. Summer is almost here and I have quite a few outside shows coming up. I think it would be neat to pull up in the limo when I'm introduced and do the show right as I step out. The limo will remain behind me and maybe I can find some ways to use it. I could also make use of the Chauffeur who will open the door for me and stand next to the limo through out the show. This is just a thought off the top of my head but I thought I'd bring it up here and see if anyone has any ideas. It would be great to be able to do large scale illusions with the limo but that's not really what I'm looking for (and not realistic with my income.. LOL). One idea I have is to do a kind of metamorphosis or magically traveling from one part of the limo to another. For example maybe I go into the back door of the limo to get something and in a flash I emerge from the drivers seat. The illusion is that there's no way I couldn't have traveled from one end to another that fast. Or maybe the old clown circus bit where an more people come out of the limo than can fit. Any other thoughts or ideas? Ron Jaxon |

How about at the end you cover yourself with something and the chauffeur steps out and pulls away the sheet and you are gone and suddenly the chaffeur takes off his glasses and hat and it's you.

What about what Chriss did.. show the trunk empty and produce a jaguar.. or in the case that you don't have a jaguar (which you probably don't) make a couple girls appear?

I'm thinkn some kind of stretching body type illusion, where you turn around and lean into an open window to get something, and a window way down the other end of the limo winds down and your head pops out, and then ths is all reversed.

That stretching idea is brilliant. I don't know your style or audience, but you could have some sort of running gag relating to a wild party going on in the limo behind you throughout your performance. At some point, an overly enthusiastic partygoer could come out of the limo and attempt to coerce you back in to join the party. Once you get near the door, some folks could try to pull you in by force so only your legs on the ground are visible while you're struggling to pull your upper body out of the door. At that point, a window towards the front could lower and your upper body (arms and head) could be seen scrambling to escape through the window, impossibly stretched. Something like that...
