You can't think of anything? Just experiment around with the possibilities.
Maybe you could have a card selected. Then ask your spectator what card he/she chose. Then as you tell him that he should've pay more attention, switch the card to the 13 of spades. Or whatever you want.

I saw the following on the ellusionist site.
GAFF DECK DVD COMING ----> With close up pro Justin Miller. Will show and teach killer applications, moves, sleights and tricks for BOTH Gaff Decks: Ghost and the Black Tiger. Shooting Feb 12-15 in the Ellusionist Studios... should be on the shelves late April or early May. This will be one far too good to resist, look for it. This is one I will get for sure! I have both gaff decks and would love some ideas. Later PW
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

You could do a prediction routine with the 13 of spades. Just use your favorite method to get the spectator to select the 7 & 6 of spades. Tell them to add up the value and that will match your prediction. Of course they will think you messed up but your prediction will match.
Self concept is destiny..

I would tie it in with the King of Spades, as they both represent the number 13.
Have them select the King of Spades, reveal the 13, explain you got confused, then change it to the King. Rick

If you have an engaged couple, you could force the 7 of spades on one and the 6 of spades on the other. Go through the usual story about how two lovers become one and how this couple is unique. Ribbon spread the deck to show one card is unique... it is reversed... the 13 of spades predicting they, too, will become one, greater than each alone.

missing twice (4 of diamonds, 6 of diamonds) the magician takes the two incorrect cards and blends them into the selection (10 of diamonds) You can use the same handling to sum a 6 and a 7 to a 13. Dave |

Force the two of hearts on the spec, preferably of the opposite sex. Explain that you can use the cards to tell the future. Explain that the two of heart represents the love that you will share until (using you favourite change method or routine) you realise that you love the spec more that they love you and you are left with a broken heart. I don't know play around with it but those would be the lines I would go along with the Aces.

I think the trick is called Untouched where the spectator spreads the deck, and the magician picks a card. Then without the magician touching the deck again the spectator comes up with two cards that predict the magicians card. E.g. 2 of Hearts and and Six of Spades combine to predict the 2 of Spades.
Do thsi trick normally, then offer to do it again. Ensure that the two cards the spectator comes up with are the 8 and 5 of Spades. Look at it for a second, and the realisation dawns on you and the audience that both cards have the same suit. So the trick won't work like it did the last time. Mumble something about them being the same suit, and appear to try and rescue the situation by suggesting that if you add the two cards together, you get the 13 of Spades...Voice trails off slightly as you (and they) realise that there is no 13 of Spades. Some will think you've screwed up, some will be expecting your card to be the King of Spades. Surprise them all by actually turning over....The 13 of Spades. -Richard |

As an addition to the last trick I described, you could keep the King of Spades in the Box, so when you come up with the adding idea, you can say..
The Kind of Spades, is kind of like the 13 of Spades, but that can't be my card, because I always keep the King of Spades in the box. Show the King of Spades, now anyone who was thinking King of Spades will be frantically trying to figure out what the face down card could be. Then turn over the 13. The King in the Box then makes it a double prediction of sorts. -Richard |

Use the card as your joker card - Just use it as a "wierd card - never point out its a 13 - just act casual when it's flipped

BTW, Bicycle's '6-Handed 500' deck has an 11 and 12 in all suits, in addition to the face cards, and a 13 in two of the suits (can't remember which ones). Unfortunately, the back isn't the standard angel back, it's the one with two two-wheelers. Still, you could do some interesting tricks using these extra cards.
This deck also has one of the coolest Jokers around: Three clay-pipe smoking gnomes playing cards.

I came up with something very similar to what Janus has described. I've just thought of something to add to it which is to combine it with another trick. The latter is one I used to do several years ago. I might give this combo a go sometime soon!
TRICK 1 1. Have a 6 of Hearts in your top pocket but first cut out off the corner so one of the pips is removed. The card is thus now a "5" of Hearts 2. Either force the 5 of hearts or force 2 cards the 3H and the 2H. You can guess what happens next: Remove your prediction from top pocket keeping the corner of the 6H hidden by the tips of your fingers. When they say their card is not the 6H but the 5H, you say "that's alright then"... move your fingers away to show the 5H TRICK 2 (to be combined with above) 3. You now say. "That was cheeky of me but I'm going to be serious and open and above board this time. I'll remove a prediction and put it face down on the table to be comepletely fair." Do so with your 13S (I've got a a 15D!) 4. Proceed with the trick as described by Janus. If you only forced one (5H) card at stage 2 (which I'd recommend for brevity), then say not only are you being fair this time but you are going to make it harder by having TWO cards selected this time (force the 9S & 4S or 6S & 7S etc). FINAL NOTE I must say the corner cut off the card was a trick I used to do a lot - I am a comedy magician & I think this best works as a comedy/jokey effect - and it used to go down well as a fun item. Try it sometime or try this combo idea. let us all know how you get on.

Doom Pengiun says in his first post tell the spec he should have paid more attention then do a switch . If your going to perform magic & want your spectator to like you I recomend you never use that line to any spectator or audience , Just trying to help .
