Aloha;
(I hope this is the right place to post) As past/current Officer of Hawaii SAM & IBM I just want to put the word out that we are always open to visiting lectures for the local community. If you are on tour, vacationing, working a cruise ship and wish to lecture, please feel free to contact me (Understand this notice is for those who are planning to come through and wish to justify the stay with a lecture, we do not "host" air and board.) *** NOTE: Please Be aware that Hawaii is well up to speed on who does what, and unless you are well established, please furnish a Bio, references and some display of your work. An actual video of your presentation is highly suggested. I've noticed in the past we've been contacted by a few who've created an item or two to market. Please don't assume we are in the 'boonies and will look at anyone on vacation who can do cups and balls. Our local economy is based largely on tourism and we've been exposed to a lot of quality entertainment. MAny of the local acts are in fact, quite strong. Your presentation should be up-to-speed, and entertaining as well as informative. In the recent past we've seen Michael Ammar, Jeff McBride, Omar Pascha, Jay Scott Berry, Losander, and produced a large benefit featuring Ronn Lucas. Hawaii is home to Alan Okawa, Curtis Kam, Jimmy Yoshida, Jon Hirokawa and many up & coming. We would love to see: Doc Eason, Jade, Kris Korn, Bill Malone, Jim Steinmeyer, John Gaughan, Charles Reynolds, Paul Harris, Tony Clarke, Patrick Martin, John Carney, Vito Lupo, Armando Lucero, Stan Allen, Johnny & Pam Thompson, Jerry Layne, Walter Blaney, Mark Wilson, and many others I don't have time to list. Of special appeal I've noticed are those with extremley visual and Hi-energy performances. Those with broad commercial appeal have drawn nearly 100 while deep technnical work will bring a smaller core group. Thanks for your time! Please drop a line if you plan to be in town.
