Hi everyone! I was thinking about purchasing Andrew Mayne's Touching Sky and I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with it. I'm mostly interested in the 6-foot stage levitation. I'll try to do this without hinting towards the method, but, can it be done center stage or does it have to take place towards the back of the stage? Also, does it have any angle or lighting issues? And of course, is it worth it? If there is something else you would like to elaborate on, please do. Thanks in advance.

Hey Taylor,
I used this illusion, or at least something almost identical, in a production of Dracula. It was performed with the actor standing and it worked GREAT. It's very simple which is what makes it so good. The booklet is worth a read, there are a few good ideas in there. Plus it's cheap.

I would buy some of his other stuff first. Touching sky was a disappointment.(in regards to repitition from other materials) You can find similar ideas in Illusionbook.

I am currently performing two of Mayne's illusions- Voodoo Box and Facelifter. Not too bad, remarkably simple and inexpensive tricks, but haven't tried his Touching Sky stuff. Hope it works out for you.
