Absolutely. Gotta go after it. Do it. "Only you can make it happen." Got that piece of advice a few years ago and it sums it up for me.

Ahhh . . . . Shel Silverstein. He was the first philosopher I was ever exposed to. *grin* I grew up reading Where the Sidewalk Ends, A Light in the Attic, and most importantly, Uncle Shelby's ABZ Book. (An amazingly subversive primer, i.e. "I is for INK. INK is pretty, INK is black. What rhymes with INK? DR_ _ _.")

Oh my... thanks for the memories. What an interesting "children's" author.

He also wrote Johnny Cash’s Grammy winning “A Boy Named Sue” as well as “Cover Of The Rolling Stone” and “Sylvia’s Mother” for Dr Hook and the Medicine show.

I learned to read from Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss. The ABZ book is great We also had a copy of "Inside Folk Songs" in my house when growing up - what a talent!

Don't forget "The Unicorn" performed by The Irish Rovers.
As far as the poem and magic: Eugene Burger teaches the same thing in his books. It must be a bald thing.
