Hey guys, I have two doves that I adopted for a fee at a local shelter that I would like to place in a good home, preferably someone looking to care for skiddish animals. They are jumpy, but will make great show birds one day. They have beautiful feathers and are pure white.
I just couldn't leave them to be at a shelter. They come with a cage (The cage is a bit small for them, but they can survive until they get something bigger).. food bowl and water ball. Also two perches. Send me a PM Justin |

I don't understand why you would not allow someone else to adopt them. They would have a better chance at getting a good home at the shelter.

Bill, in New Jersey where Justin and I are from, that is not the case. Most shelters are homes for dogs and cats and rabbits and there's not much call for birds. I think Justin did the correct thing. He has the ability to reach more people inclined to adopt birds than the shelters.

Hey Bill how's it going. Dave is right, over here in Jersey the shelters, for the most part, can barely control the overabundance of cats and dogs, never mind the proper care for doves. Being a big animal person, and knowing how fragile a dove can be, it's hard to not take them from a place like that. Not to mention, there are almost always magicians looking for doves, and for the most part we are caring people, and I trust that they will be well taken care of.
