Greetings,
Oddly enough, many people will claim they saw the bulb light up just before it exploded. Maybe it is the lighting flashing off the many shards or more likely it is their imagination. You can always ask if anyone saw it light up before its untimely demise. (BTW, If your bulb isn't violently exploding into many tiny shards, you may be holding it wrong. Then again, that is one way to keep the glass dust from going too far.) Sincerely, Sam Haine

This is a hard effect to get as there are only a few people making them. It is easy to use and wonderful mentalism effect

It is save. And the gimmick is v well made. Plays well on stage though, not so much of close-up certainly

If you're concerned about glass chards sticking to your hands, you can always wipe them on a towel that is filled with talc. The dryer your hands are, the less likely that chards will stick. When I saw it performed closeup, the chards didn't go far. I didn't feel that there was any real danger, if you know how far the glass would go. The glass essentially just fell to the table.
