Effect : (From Hank Lee's)
Aldo Colombini's Draw A Blank - a new miracle that you cannot afford to miss. Ask a spectator to name any card. Let's say they name the Seven of Clubs. Remove a deck of cards form your pocket. Show it to be totally blank on both sides. Remove four cards from the blank deck and place them on the table. Explain that these four blank cards represent the four Sevens Ask the spectator to select one of the four cards. Show the other three cards to be blank. The card that the spectator selected is turned over. It is the Seven of Clubs!! Wow!! Draw A Blank uses no rough and smooth; no force of any kind; no duplicates! Any card can be named. And, it is easy to do! Review : I LOVE this a lot. Even though the trick with it's instructions is good, a MUCH BETTER routine is off od Aldo's Tape "Magic - Italian Style". I love this trick, and I LOVE Regal's Trick "The Deja Vu Deck" equally but for different reasons. As I said the routine off the video just KILLS, and has subtleties for showing the fronts and backs as blanks. It CAN'T be examined however you can offer a couple of cards to be examined in the routine as I do. The routine itself is so well put together though it's really not needed. On a scale from 1-10 with 10 be absolute perfection (which as I've said isn't possible as no think or person except Jesus Christ is perfect, so you'll NEVER see me rate anything a ten. I still put TEN up there so people see how close to perfect something is. No, 9.5 is my highest rating. Sorry in break off I just wanted once more to explain that...lol). I rate this a 8.5 Ed, (Eddini).

Yes this is a great effect - I saw it performed and explained in Aldo's lecture. For those of you who want to watch it, I think a more accessible source would be from his newest dvd trilogy The Essential Aldo Columbini - I think its Volume 1.

A truly wonderful effect. It's a nice change of pace from the invisible deck.

I was wondering if he uses my move "The Rolling Elmsley" on The Essential Aldo DVD.
I should mention that Jim Krenz independently came up with the same version of the Elmsley Count. Jay Frasier |
