Just thought I would pass along this thought on the Homicide book that everyone appears to be overlooking.
As I posted on the Homicide forum the book lends itself to a very interesting presentation no possible with most other book tests. In truth I know of no other but I am sheltered and do not get out much to learn the ways of mentalists. In fact I know no other mentalists. Any way it is possible to have the spectator channel the likes/preferences of a serial murderer with this prop. (Yep the spectator does the deal not you) The performer does very little. Of course theatrically this is very strong and psychologically it works if you can sell the deal. My personal presentation is a bit involved and has a few more layers than mentioned here. And when finished will included video footage of the type you might see on the history channel. The prop being shown in the documentary footage and shots of crime scenes also shots of New York from the correct time period. Anyway those who use the thing should get how this is possible and those who do not might consider this as a way to do a new type of presentation with a commercially available prop. This is something I was already doing in a way with some other types of objects but the Homicide book has given me a return perfromance option. Best Wishes, Jim H.O.AXXXX

Tony I have also been working on a few simplified versions of the presentation.
One an old photo of a (killer) with their killing preferences detailed on the back. The spectator/helper does not know the profile is on the back. But ends up picking a victim at random that fits his killing preferences after looking at the picture for a few moments. Also have found it a bit stranger to reveal he is a killer after they have made their choice. Jim

That sounds interesting. I've gone the other route with this, a minimalist presentation. I described it in the review of the NY book, and on the Outlaw forum. The reactions I get are very strong. Tony |
