I don't think that Color Monte has to be presented as "real magic." It's is based on a game of chance that is manipulated by a skillful street con artist. Most people present this is showing the spectator howthey (the magician) was conned by someone. You could therefore present this as a replication of the skill they used, so, "I know how you did it" doesn't matter too much in this case.
Anyway, most people are way off when they tell you that they know how they did something... |

I do not get "i know how you did" that anymore. its all a matter of control. usually when a spectator says that they are threatened. solution? don't make them feel threatened its not about how technically skilled you are in this case and not about the presentation of the trick its how you as a performer relate to the audience. even if you are not technically skilled if your audience likes you they won't say anything. now there are exceptions I am not saying noone will ever say it, but they will defintely think more about saying it to someone they like and can relate to.

I have shown my hands front and back after doing the trick and then as the "How did you do that?" lines came up I put my hands into my pockets. Some guy swears he saw me palm off the other Red Diamond.
