It seems that in the USA, pretty much everybody with any loose change is likely to have a few quarters on them. In people's experience, which is the most commenly carried adn easily borrowed coin in the UK.

I'd say the best 2 coins for coin magic which are common are the 50p piece and the £2 coin. The £2 has a range of gaffs available for it as well including, SH*** and FL***ER.

Yes the 2p. Beyond suspicion. Not too hard to palm. Easy to Goshman pinch.
The 10p is the hardest to palm but OK to pinch

Thanks for the comments guys. Just to clarify, I'm not asking which coin is the best, but which coin you are most likely to be able to borrow. 2ps are so small value that people might notcarry them around, although I do use them usually. Why do you find 10ps hard to palm, I always find them pretty good, although they're a bit smaller than the 2p, they have wonderful milled edges.

Well looking in my pocket,i'd say 2p would be the easiest to find, usually always get them in change, it's rare to get £2 coin around here, but they are getting a little more common now. So for magic purposes 10p,2p 50p £2.
Take it steady GG |
