I just emptied out two full real jars of Peanut B and cut out bottom- they are much smaller and will never stick to the covers- problem is the closet peanut B color paint was kids water washalbe paint- and it seems like any wrong move scarttches the paint out.
I think I'm gonna enn up getting the real version.

Just to clarify, with Jolly Roger's Ridiculous Ravioli you now get two covers, two special cans of Ravioli, a special jar of Peanut Butter, two 54 inch snakes and a white fur mouse. You will not have a sticking problem. Those of you who attended my lecture at Blackpool and bought my lecture notes will have my full routine using the Wenk's Trick. It was after so many requests that I put the Ridiculous Ravioli on the market. I believe this is the ultimate side-splitting routine for kids!

Jarana;
I made mine about 15 years ago, and have done nothing to them, use them all the time and they work fine. The trick to using real jars is brown spray paint and lead line. I glued a bunch of lead cord at the inside top if each jar to give them weight. The tubes I made from 2 liter coke bottles with the inside sprayed sparkly black and then a spiral of caulking to provided the needed friction. |

I got an original Wenk PB&J, and the jars were sticking, so I tried the baby powder and armor all trick, and it didn't help with one of the jars - it still sticks. I also made the hole in the top a bit larger, and it still didn't help with stopping one of the jars from sticking. Then I turned my attention to the jars themselves and noticed that one jar's lid is slightly different and a bit larger than the other one, and if I switch vinyl covers the lids wil always stick to the jar with the slightly larger lid. Any ideas?

Well- that was easy - all I did was pry the lids off and then carefully use a monkey wrench to gently crimp the lid down a bit and now it slides like butter

Good idea Marvello. I had mine stashed in garage mostly because the kids all yell out they saw it before. I think every magician west of the Miss. uses this here.
But the sticking was a drag and I exposed it one time I remember.

Although this is not where I bought it, you can see the version here: http://www.magiclegends.com/product1096.html It seems to work OK, but I changed the labels since I don't think they look real. Anyone else have this version? |

I should've mentioned that the instructions/routining of "Peanut Butter Jam" were written by Frederic "Presto" Broder.

I don't think the sticking problem is limited to the knock-offs, as I have the originals and have the same problem...which is what led me to this topic. I will try some of your suggestions, and am sure one of them will resolve the problem.
Thanx. |

I use mine quite often, though I have changed the plot somewhat. For whatever reason, mine don't stick. Although when I first handled them, I noticed this problem. If it persists, why not glue some thin black card inside the rubber outer shells? Done properly, no one will notice, and it should cure the problem for good.
