On the Visions of Wonder DVD, there is a great routine called Magic Ranch (based on a trick by Don Alan). It has several nice features including a visual climax and a kicker surprise ending.
But the main value of this routine is the magical production of an egg (basically, you put an egg on the table while everyone is looking somewhere else). The routine is strutured in a way so that if you do the move successfully, an egg has just miraculously appeared on the table. If you fail and someone watches you put the egg down, then you've simply put an egg down and you can still go on with the routine. Essentially, this is a very strong routine that can be used as practice more serious applications of misdirection without risking the success of the trick. This is a great way to build confidence in performance. I was wondering if anyone else knew of other routines which misdirection or other difficult techniques can be practiced in this "safe" way? |

Working on presentation, something we all need to do! Sounds like a good effect, I think I'll go for it!

I've seen something similar at a Danny Archer lecture, where he made a coin dissapear using a pen or pencil as magic wand...well the the wand disapears
in a similiar fashion that the egg appreas on the table. I use this quite often...and its a good confidence builder.
