What trick(s) do you think make a good closer for a stage show?
How do you decide what trick to use as a closer? |

Card Productions with fast music. It will excite the crowd for the ending. Another plus with doing that at the end is you will not have any cards to step on during the show.

Good point...
You can end with snowstorm, I mean you do your manipulation routine, torn your card and then make a snowstorm. |

Durgy,
An object is placed into the hand and it is closed into a fist. A fan is taken, usually and oriental style fan. You begin to fan your hand containing the object and snow begins to fly out of your hand. It is a very beautiful effect. in the end the object is gone. DJ |

A good closer is a card manipulation routine then the ending is a production of a large card castle.
thanks!

As many times as I have seen it performed, I still love Snowstorm as a closer. It's dramatic beauty and cadence just makes it perfect with the right patter.

Snowstorm is the confety load.
If you seen the Laurient Beretta Performance, this is his ending. About the Card castle is very simmilar to Peter Marvey manipulation Routine. |

Just as a counter to the suggestions already given, you can close "sincere" as opposed to "big". The show should have a "rouser" which is big and fires up the audience, but traditionally that is second to close. Closer can be more human-connection oriented. For instance, the way Kevin James closes with snowstorm-its a nice personal story that ends with the auditorium being filled with "snow".
Another example is David Sandy who closes his show with Dan Harlan's "Starcle" which is a hand trick with a paper napkin. Remember, Lance closed his first TV special with the milk to mouse effect. Bigger isn't always better. You decide, but don't feel "stuck" because you don't have a huge, loud trick to do! Go get 'em!
"What's your drug?" she asked. "Hope" he said, "The most addicting one of all."
