Um...I think you mean a physics lab, but high energy x-rays in a psychics lab would be interesting. "Oh, that's joe. He emits high energy x-rays. Don't get too close to him!"
_______ Doctor: "Have you ever been x-rayed?" Patient: "No, but I've been ultra-violated!" Bill

Notice in the link Mystician posted earlier for Photo-Luminescent Pigment powder, it says "The excitation wavelength is approximately 200-450nm, with the higher UV wavelengths (400-450nm) producing faster charging time."
If you didn't require an immediate or long lasting glow, the 350nm may work fine. I'd like to know how PhotonLight's Pure UV flashlight performs. It is labelled as "stealth" but that is rather imprecise. I know of a person who graphs the spectrometric output from anything people send him. His graphs are quite interesting and definitive. The Cree L** is plotted as well as many other so called invisible UV units. The graph clearly shows the 375nm knee for the Cree unit. I'm still looking for where I saw the price for it. $400+ struck me as a bit expensive for a little L** but that helps keep it secret too. |

Good point on the fluorescence, but most commercial paints and inks and things tend to keep close to the visible end of UVA.
In fact, Sabrina, you bring up a good point - I saw where a site recommended against using geographical UV lights as they are often designed for UV shortwave - very dangerous to the eye, it's even used as a germicidal.

UV sterilization is used in many science lab. It is very dangerous light to look at..it will damage your eyes with very little exposure and will actually hurt.
Be sure what light you are using. |

Hello Kardor, great to see your post $ know you are well... Rather than UV lights etc, I still hope to try the blue light morph. Also for our friends, Ed Solomon has just hadsurgery, and a pacemaker installed. Wish him well!

Who cares about health if you want to create strong, unbelievable magic?!
Just kidding....The ideas and knowledge you guys have about UV light is great. So how can I find out or measure the nm or intensity of the 'Face' light? Best Silvio

I've heard that if you are bombarded with high levels of gamma radiation you can do a full body transformation into the Hulk. Alternatively it may kill you.

Combine with Bitterman's Babel Waves and you can make rods and cones vibrate mightfully first before lightblast. Dr. X alludes to this in BullDog.

Silvo, I mentioned the blue light morph as a valid addition to the thread. FYI male cat urin and cock roaches also glow under UV light. And Ed' health and well being is important to bizarrists every where; if not to you.

Scorpions glow under UV light, too. The reason for this is unknown since they are primarily nocturnal.

Is there any information on Ed Solomon's well-being? I hope he is doing well.

That'd be one cool terrarium - a couple of scorpions in the tank and a blacklight in the top cover. Unless they'd kill each other off, then I'd just get a plexiglass separator.

To create a very good "blue morph" I modestly suggest The Book of Ghost on page 141 in The Bigger Book of BOO!
