The team would be;
Derren Brown, Kreskin and Myself. Supported by Miles Davis and Jim Galloway (no not who you guys are thinking, the LEGENDARY Jazz musicians) yeh, this would be a stylish show; produced by Quincy Jones, with Banachek and Penn & Teller as advisors. Super Stylish Jazz Mentalism. English style. Oh and Juan Tamariz as an interlude to show everyone how wonderful card-tricks can be Jon Hackett

Jon, if I were wealthier than the church mouse I am, I'd write you a check right now!
The mentalists, the music, and the card magic really would be the best show. How I wish... |

Dane Cook for promotional consulting.
Why Dane Cook? Because somehow this guy continues to sell CDs and get air time, and is in no way funny. He just got his name and face out there to millions and THEN the CDs sold....genius. |

Well, although this is off-topic, tmoca was merely stating his opinion. He may not like Dane Cook due to his style, personality, etc. but that does not stop you from enjoying him and his comedy. Everybody's taste is different and you two have proven that. Now back to the regularly scheduled topic...

My co-performer would have to be Derren Brown.
As for consultants (all of whom would be more than welcome to appear on the show), I'd insist on Andy Nyman, for his genius in finding the simplicity of method, Max Maven, for his genius in general and encyclopedic knowledge of everything that has ever happened ever, and Penn and Teller, for being the most artistic, and at the same time, thoroughly entertaining magicians I have ever seen. The show would be called "Do You Mind?" and would focus half on the effects, and half on the people behind them, including their off-stage personalities (and how they differ from their performance characters), the amount of work that goes into a single 3-minute performance, and the theoretical considerations that the typical TV audience never gets to witness, hopefully showing what a mature, serious, and developed art form magic and mentalism is. I also think it would be ***ed funny to have Maven "pantsed" at some point in the show. For such an erudite, polished, and sophisticated character, I think sophmoric humor on his expense would just be priceless. But that's just me.

For assorted reasons I'd put Bob Cassidy and Richard Osterlind on.
I find both performing styles and methodlogy to be appealing. |

I'd like to see Eugene Burger, David Blaine and Deddi Corbuzier.
The show would be called " A Koan, a Stone and a Clone" |

My, my, Jim. It was a joke, not a manifesto. The use of handles on forums has been pretty much standard fare since back before the internet when one used dial up bulletin board systems to post their rants. Most do it out of fun, not fear.
Who I am and what I've done has no bearing on my assessment of Deddy, but rather the fact that I'm physically capable of giving his picture, you know, a casual glance. |

This thread reminds me of a Sunday afternoon I spent at Aqueduct Racetrack in NY about 25 years ago.
They had 6 Mentalists, including Uri Geller, Max Maven, and Gil Eagles there to perform between races and predict the winners of each upcoming race. This was broadcast on the TV monitors through out the grandstands. Of course, the predictions had to be shown before each race occurred and not one of the Mentalists had a winning day as it so turned out. |

Thanks, Scott I would enjoy working with the spirit of Joe.
Spook sorry man but I just get riled with such things. I can see were it was intended to be funny. I hope you also can see were the guy has taken a lot of heat that may be undeserved. Jim H.o.A-X
