Do know any tricks or moves that use a cut card. That is the plastic thing that gamblers use. Also do know of any gaff cut cards?

Michael Closes "Luckiest Cards in Vegas" routine from CGS uses two cut cards for a pretty nifty sandwhich effect.
I have developed a tabled pass which handles the cut card efficently(as well as many others have also come up with their own moves for this of course). If you have the oppertunity, it makes many card stabbing routines more effective since you have an actual thing to base your routine on(how a cut card is inserted which is logical). I usually only bust them out for when I'm gambling or working on gambling things, for most part I leave them out of regular card work... |

Daegs I don't think I have any of Michael Closes work, I will look it up. Thanks for the tips.

Greg Wilson's "In Action Vol 3" has an effect called Cut Throat. Below is the description as read from L&L Publishing's website.
Cut Throat: An impressive demonstration to find all four aces with a casino cut card. Greg has used this on a number of tv talk shows. I do not own this DVD, so I can't really give you a review of this effect. Matt |

Thanks. The only thing I have seen by way of a gaff cut card is a shaved one for bottom dealing. I was wondering if you could hide a card in a gaff cut card and deal it when you need it.

Hi Tommy,
Dealing bottoms from a regular cut card is not that difficult. The art is to be able to deal the bottoms without making the horrible 'swish' noise. I have created an enjoyable (to me) little gambling effect based on David Malek's excellent casino protection sequence in his first class gambling protection DVD relating to cheating at hold'em. The effect basically involves following his rigorous tabled shuffles and cuts before dealing out, with the cut card on the bottom of the deck, the four aces to a selected hand. Let me know if you are interested. Regards, Paul H |

Thom Peterson's 'Casino Cut Card' DVD comes with a special card material (non-plastic) Cut Card and a single, but good multi-phase routine with a fine surprise climax.

Charlie Justice has a nice card force using a cut card. You would have to contact him for details.

I have a strong feeling that Thom Peterson's "Casino Cut Card" effect is not what you are looking for. You can read more about it here and see a picture of the gimmicked card:
