Ronfour,
Are you confused? Andrew didn't call YOU anything. You haven't even posted in this thread until now. Jason

I can get an X-Ray table directly from the inventor for about $2,700-$2,800. But, I will have to check on shipping and other details if you are interested please PM me.
Note: I do not actively market the X-Ray table, but I do have a relationship with the inventor and can act as the middleman. Since the table is only available from one source, he has control over pricing.

I am confused at why anyone thinks there as been any exposure here. The guys selling it have advertized it on the internet to the public. That if anything exposures that the thing exists but no one has said how it works here not to my knowledge at least.
"Firstly, if people are so concerned there can only be one of about three reasons for it - one is that they are magicians who have spent a LOT of money on these goodies and they are ticked off about it being exposed. Firstly, if people are so concerned there can only be one of about three reasons for it - one is that they are magicians who have spent a LOT of money on these goodies and they are ticked off about it being exposed. The second possibility is that they are manufacturers who are worriend about losing money on material that will become useless as it becomes more widely known. And the third possibility is that the people complaining are the ones out there who are skinning the rubes." My comment is: If I had bought one. Then, I would not worry about every one knowing how it works. What possible difference could that make to a user of it? Also I would have bought it in the knowledge that every one can see that it exists due that film that advertises it on the internet to the public. If I was the maker of it sure I can worry about guys telling guys how it worked. But no one has so I would have nothing to complain about. I would expect and indeed hope that guys talked about my product though and say things like it is great and works fine, then I could sell more hopefully. The problem here is, I think people thought that it was being told HOW it works and they were wrong. I wanted to know IF it works well not how it works. If I ask the maker they might say yes it works great but then after I had parted with my dough I might find out it is crap. If you don't understand that then tell me what you don't understand and I will try and help.

I can tell you that the very high end (Ultra-Luminous (aka. Black Panther) or Black Preditor) products work very well...in addition, I can also tell you that the X-Ray table does work as advertized.
Like every other product, each technology does have trade-offs and limitations...But, these limitations will only be discussed with serious buyers. As you may suspect, these products have a VERY limited market and people who are willing to spend that type of money for this equipment, do not tolerate getting ripped off by products which do not work as advertised. Selling poor products in this market is simply not worth the aggrevation.

Wimhurst called you a punk for maybe exposing the X ray table, yet he travels around exposing the methods of crooked gamblers. That is confusing.

Ronfour,
I never exposed anything....since I know the inventor, I would never do so.....this forum is not for exposing secrets/methods...but, it is to enhance people knowledge of the art and to educate and provide ideas on how to use techniques or props in the most deceptive manner.

None the less I wonder what magicians would say if the cheats said to them: "If you magicians don't stop doing gambling exposé’s then we will start doing magic exposé’s."

That may be true.......but, reality is that gambling expose's sometimes help the hustlers. Why you may ask ? ...
Well, there is an old saying: "a little bit of knowledge is dangerous". Just because you know about second deals, bottoms, stacks, marked cards, etc. A lay person with minimal knowledge of the existance of these techniques does not mean that they will be able to catch the moves in action. Timing, misdirection, physology, variations, etc. etc. make even known concepts next to impossible to detect. How many times have you told people about a second deal...do it sloppy and then do a double lift to fool people..... ..... this is a very simple example of how or knowledge can be used to fool people who don't know what to look for. Note: I would prefer to be friends with by gambing friends....and I NEVER expose truely secret methods....or expose things I was told or shown in confidence.

Expertmagician,
I did not say you exposed anything. I said he called you a punk for "MAYBE" exposing something in a private message. Jason, When I said "Please don't call me a punk" I was talking about the future. I was not confused. I thought name calling was not permitted here. |

I just noticed that the word "punk" was deleted from Wimhurst's post.

Note: I was not the person who advertised or even brought up the issue of an X-Ray table. I would have preferred that the technology stay underground due to it's limited magical uses.
Ronfour, I think all MagicCafe members need to be friends ... besides...I tend to be thick skinned and a name or two never bothered me ... it actually reflects on the insecurity and frustration of the person doing the name calling.....On the other hand, I do reflect on my action to see if I thought that I did anything wrong...if I did, I will tend to appologize.
