Its a video my friends and I made a while ago and just put it online. Its like MTV's the Real World but its with a bunch of superheros. So far everyone has loved it. Let me know what you think of it.

Not exactly fall on the floor laughing, but I got a smile or two. I loved how Flash beat Batman into the bathroom.

Sweet video! When's part 2?

So you don't get a takedown notice from a corporate lawyer:
Believe it or not, Marvel and DC Comics have managed to get a 'joint trademark' on the term 'Superhero(tm)'. You can no longer claim that a creation of yours is a 'Superhero(tm)', and if you use the term in an article, essay, or online post, you must note its trademarked status by using the (tm) mark. In protest, most web sites are now advocating the use of the generic term 'underwear pervert'. Here's the online FAQ: http://goodcomics.blogspot.com/2006/03/s......faq.html

Okay does this mean that the term super hero is trademarked or only the terms super-hero and superhero?

If you created an underwear pervert and tried to call him a 'super hero', I think Marvel and DC's team of lawyers would come down on you faster than a superhero(tm) on a supervillain (so far untrademarked, to the best of my knowledge).

Marvel once sued a female theatre group because they'd named themselves after a Native American goddess "Spider Woman" claiming they owned the rights to the term because of their character "Spiderwoman." The theatre group claimed that the term had been used before, most notably in the film "Sherlock Holmes and the Spider-Woman," they won. (I like Marvel, but good for the ladies!)

Ok, this is kind of off topic, but I was wondering does anyone know if DC comics has exclusive rights to the Shadow?

I beleive that DC does NOT have Shadow rights. I know that in the 70's they made a limited agreement which expired after one eyar or so. If they later re-negotiated, That I do not know.

All this trademark stuff is news to me. I don't think I can ever look at Marvel and DC Comics the same away again.
