Hi guys!
I want to ask your opinions about ditch bags, sometimes it also has been used as a suitcase. (I saw that in the performance of Lee Eun Gyol in his FISM act) and I think many other magicians (especially stage magicians) here are using that kind of thing: the suitcase and ditchbag in one. Are there any plans available or it can be done by self design? I also saw a Lance Burton video and he also used the same concept of the ditch bag and he gets some props in it. Any help is appreciated. thank you!

I would prefer self-design. Look at what you do and then decide the best way to get rid of props.

You need to figure out how much goes into the bag, box or other container. Some roll-on tables become their own ditch boxes. You can take a footlocker, paint a sign on the top of it, and use it as a decorative ditch box.

Not sure if it was him, but I think I saw David Ginn once use a colorful garbage can on stage to ditch his props. Hey, it worked for him!

I like the idea of the ditch being a foot locker, the only problem is that the foot lockers anmde kinda heavy and awkward

I use the collapsible hampers (round) you find in most variety stores. They come in different colors and sizes, are spring loaded so they pack flat, and at the
end of your show make a nice container for your props. Burlington Coat Factory has some very nice ones in stock. Dave

I use one of my poachers pouches as a servante/ditch-bag/prop holder and it hangs off of a small lefler table and/or tray stand. it's perfect.
if your ditch bag has has external pockets (like the poachers pouch) you can use it to hold props too. I'm thinking of making one from fabric to allow the same functionality without the expense of leather. it would also pack smaller.
