Just seen Prediction Balloon Tray... (to the top-right of page, see video demo)
Anyone using this? It really looks good! A sort of low-tech Derek Lever / David Howarth 'Dynamite Illusion' (which I used to have back in the '80s) Any UK dealers touting this one yet? Dr. Zordas |

I believe this or one very similar is on the Viking/CW site...

Thanks for the heads-up, Julie.
The Viking version looks identical - apart from some colours, I think. The higher-contrast backing looks much better here... I didn't see any prices listed on the MakMagic site - Don't they flog stuff to the working classes?! Dr. Zordas |

MAK doesn't retail most items, just some supplies/refills.

It's actually called "Mental Balloons" and comes from Europe (Italy, I think.) It is sold by most major dealers at $69.95 retail. If you are familiar with magic apparatus, the patterened back of the unit should give you a good idea of what you are getting and how it works. Even if you know, or figure out, how it works, it is still a VERY good trick. Popping the balloons does the work automatically for you. It's one of the few mental items that would probably play very well for kids. I don't do this type of magic, but I have had one through here and set it up and have done it for a few people here and it always gets a favorable reaction. It's a good trick and well made.

Obviously there is some 'masking' going on at the rear - at what distance can this be detected - can the unit be performed reasonbly close-up? Dr. Zordas |

It can be performed right up close. It is nearly impossible to see.

The question is who is ripping off who?
