Do vague subject titles bug anyone else? They drive me nuts, but are strangely compelling. If something says "It Happened" or "I have a question", I just have to click on them.

Yep...Can't stand them. And if they aren't catchy vague titles, I forget them, and wind up clicking them again.
Least favourite... "Help Me!" Not sure if they are suffering from a magical mental block or have been abducted by evil clowns. Gwyd |

Depends on the author.
Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy; The way into my parlour is up a winding stair, And I've a many curious things to show when you are there. Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain, For who goes up your winding stair -can ne'er come down again. |

I think the point of vague titles is to lure you. most of the time they work.

They are compelling.
However the title "Does it?" is a phrase that I personally hear a great deal. |

Vague threads, and emails without subjects.
But te worst of them all are the ones that are plain wrong or misleading.

How can you even ask "does it"?
Of course it doesn't ... never has, never will. |
