Anyone that went to Kidabra last week know the dateS for 2007 yet? I was unable to make it this year but will be there next year for sure. I need to get this on my schedule NOW!

I think it is August 15-18, but am not 100% sure. Maybe Dennis can confirm this.

Next Year, the 2007 Kidabra Confernce will start with the Auction, on Wednesday, August 15th to Saturday August 18th, 2007.

As Always, the Optional Market Day will start on Tuesday Night, August 14th, 2007.

This Conference, KIDabra Chapter #1, will be there Monday Night. Details have not been worked out yet, but we would like all KIDabra Chapters to meet this Night, first to have a dinner as a group, then we will present a free Monday Night Show; A Pre-Conference Show, made up from the members of each Chapters present. We would love to have all Chapters participate. At this point in time, all twelve of us will be there again next year, and from what I gather we will have an additional five more members attending. We are looking at 17 members from Chapter #1 in 2007. Already other Chapters liked this idea.

So the early birds will get an added bonus: A Pre-Conference Magic Show!

Is Kidabra always held at the same place? If not, any idea of where 2007 will be?

KIDabra has always been in the Southeast. Is this due to the people organizing the event, or is it the result of a higher concentration of children's performers in that part of the country?

It is due to several factors.

1. The cost to run a conference in the northeast is about double what it is in Pigeon Forge.
2. Pigeon Forges offers a lot in the form of family entertainment. Many attendees come early or stay later after the event and enjoy an extended vacation.
3. It's true a lot of the entertainers are from the south, but this is not a major consideration for why the event is held is held there.
4. Mark and Tami who are the major organizers do live in NC which is about 5 hours away. Many of those who assist them live in NJ, and NY.
