At Kidabra 2006 Eddy Wade was selling some nifty pocket timers called "Pacesetter" which has several silent programmable alarms that count down, etc.. He was selling them for $90, however when I got home I surfed up some info on them and found them available for $29.95
http://www.toastmasters.org/store/item.a......SKU=6618 Pacesetter is a professional model pace timer alerts elapsed time segments with vibration, beep, or flash indicators. Up to 3 different segments can be set in 5 second increments. May also be used as a travel alarm clock, countdown timer, appointment reminder or stopwatch. The Pacesetter comes equipped with a removable beltclip, operates with AAA battery, and fits in a pocket.

There's a long tradition of egregious mark-up in magician-to-magician sales. Thanks for the tip, looks like an interesting tool, but if you know your running-time for the act I'm not sure it's all that useful. Maybe I'm missing something?

The website of the company that makes the pacesetter is: http://www.goleapfrog.com and the only dealer that the general public can buy them through is Kingdom Electronics: (800) 788-1122 and they cost around $48. If you are willing to buy 10 or more at once you can get them directly from goleapfrog for the $29.95 price.
