But flash forward several years, I prefer having no tie, with my dress shirt having the top 2-3 buttons undone, with the collar over my jacket's collar (suit jackets or coat jackets) -- a very 50's Ratpack look. B-) It just looks money, baby. =) P.S.> -I used to buy a new tie for each siwng dance, so I've got a swell collection...

Diavo, those are winzors, not self tie bow ties. A lot of people are going with the no tie thing these days. Me, I'm a traditionalist, in almost every way. That and I do a ton of Victorian Western work, so I often wear a string tie. (no, not a bolo).

This is where I got all my ties from. You can't do much better than these.

Those ties look good, but the only way I'll wear a Rush tie is if I can cut the label off. He is not exactly a fun guy. Al Angello

Yikes! I think a tie should make a statement, but it shouldn't scream it.

All of my ties scream LOOK AT ME, go to my web site, and see. It may not be your cup of tea, but a loud tie, with matching suspenders, and a top hat is my trademark. I've been described as "the juggler with an attitude", and I kinda like that characterization. Al Angello

I absolutely love neckties...I have a huge collection of wild and crazy, yet snazzy neckties that I wear for several occasions. Plus, a snazzy crazy tie goes good with my comical stage persona...which is one of the reasons they have been in my costume for years.

Ties look great.
Ties look classy. Ties add distinction. Ties signify that a man is dressed up for a special occasion. Half the battle with an audience is their perception. If they percieve us as entertainers we're half way there. I checked out Al Angello's site and he sure looks like an entertainer. The braces look good too, Al. |

Thank you for noticing my suspenders, top hat, and tie look. I have seen it happen many times when someone will say. "Who is that man with the wild outfit on? He must be the entertainment." HAVE FUN Al Angello

You can get away with used or inexpensive ties, but never a cheap tie....
I have had good luck with inexpensive designer ties on ebay....
