I don't know if this is the right place to discuss this, but I've wondered what ever happened to Paul Diamond's Magic Shack in Florida and Paul in general. I last visited in the late 70's, and hope someone can fill me in.
Thanks, Scott

Paul sold his shop some time ago and I believe it's mail order now:
http://www.diamondsmagic.com/ - Located up in Mass. Paul is retired but occasionally chimes in on the SAM Forum. Don't know much else beyond that - maybe others can fill you in better. Dave |

Paul Diamond was very popular in the late 70's, early 80's. I attended a lecture of his in California; at that time he was really pushing reels. I must say he was sure a great demonstrator for them; a really neat silk penetrating a cane was really magical looking.
On another note, I purchased an effect called Phantom at the Fingertips. This was, without a doubt, the worst trick I ever purchased. The ad (of course) read great. After receiving the gimmick was I ever disappointed. Anyone who purchased this contraption will know what I am talking about. Otherwise Paul Diamond could definitely move merchandise. He was a very unique individual. Rennie
The effect is the important thing, how you achieve it is not.......

Thanks omk, Rennie, for the info. I went to Paul's shop as a child, and remember him as a larger than life, booming character who made me want to buy the store! I appreciate you sharing your memories with me!

Paul and Andi do have a mail order business that sends out a newsletter. If you would like to recieve that newsletter, or need his contact information, PM me. I saw them in Miami, and they both looked great. My wife spent an afternoon with Andi.
Paul has also helped many magicians get booked on cruise ships leaving out of Florida. Scott
Magic is an art. I am merely a tour guide.
