What illusions are there that are built on stage? That is, you bring in pieces and assemble them on stage before something appears, vanishes or changes. I can think of the Arabian Tent Illusion, and Tarbell has an escape where a canvas-sided crate is built around the magi. Stack of Boxes could also fall into this category.
I kind of like this plot and wonder what else is out there that uses it.

Some illusions, because of the nature of the illusion, are designed from the ground up for this kind of presentation - to be constructed on stage. Others, it has been discovered later, can be adapted to this kind of presentation. For example, there is no reason why the Shadow Box Illusion could not be put together on stage if that was a desirable way of presenting it.
Anyway, here is a list of Illusions found on The Magic Nook that fall into this category: From Jim Gerrish's PVC Pile Illusions Book 1: Shadow Triangle Illusion Doll House/Gift Box Illusion Utility Cabinet - Handheld version Stretching A Person Illusion From Jim Gerrish's PVC Pile Illusions Book 2: Transfigmigration Illusion Square-Square Illusion Die-A-Bolical Litter Vanish - (Comes on-stage assembled and is dis-assembled like a tear-apart box for humans) Million Dollar Mystery From Jim Gerrish's PVC Pile Illusions Book 3: Puppet Show Illusion Hula-Hoop Tambourine Illusion Spirit Cabinet From The Wizards' Journals: (Most Wizard-style Illusions are of this type) #3- Fade in - Fade Out #3 - Mummified Scarab #5 - Parachute Game Illusion #5 - Crazy Cabana #6 - The Fabled Cloak of Invisibility #6 - Poltergeist #7 - Gingerbread House Illusion #10 - Street Bike #10 - Autumn Leaves From Jim Gerrish's Kid Show Magic: Star Warts The Birthday Cake Ovens from the "Ungimmicked Egg Bag" Sorry to limit myself to stuff found on The Magic Nook, but I figured I'd better stick to what I know.

You may also want to look into Walter Zaney Blaney's Ladder Levitation as its built on stage. Pricey but worth it!
