I was watching NBC's Today Show and the had Elmo and his "friend" whose name I forgot. It was interesting to watch. OK, I realize that the man is a "puppeteer," but, it still seemed strange to see his mouth move as much as it did when Elmo was talking.

As you said he is a puppeteer. When Jim Henson appeared with Kermit, there was no pretense of him being a vent, he was was a master puppeteer.

That was Kevin Clash, Elmo's creator. He has a new book out entitled, "My Life as a Furry Red Monster."
