I was wondering if anyone knows where I can see a video of this done? I have Michael Ammars book, and would just like to reassure myself that I am doing it correctly!
Thanks very much in advance. Magically, Tanner J |

Swtrocks posts:Michael Ammar also teaches it on the Greater Magic Video Library Teach-In DVD. That would be the Cups And Balls Teach in DVD. Good DVD BTW.

Since that time, I can recall seeing a video of Vernon telling stories, talking about old times, and at one point doing the cups and balls and showing the wand twirl. I think it was shown at a TAOM convention. But I wonder if anyone knows if that video is still around. I've seen lots of people do the twirl and it strikes me, if my memory is right, that often it doesn't look the same as the way I recall Vernon doing it. Cheers, Roger The map is not the territory |

I think one reason it seldom looks the same way Dai Vernon did it is because of the way Vernon's arms naturally pointed after his accident. This gave a different personality to the spin.

Thanks so much everyone to this point
I am not trying to sound 'rude' or non accepting to your comments this far, but could someone take a quick video of them performing it? Thanks very much Tanner J |

Brother, if I had the means of filming it and then having the know how to get it into my puter and then finally posting it here at this most wonderful place where most everybody will just tell you to buy something else like a book or dvd to further your learning experience...I would.
Anyway's, like most others here I'm gonna hafta go along with what others have suggested and that is... get the Ammar DvD's...both of'em, just don't drive all the way to New York City to get 'em and then park your van in the wrong'Zone'and get it towed and then hafta drudge back and forth across Manhatten 3 times just to find a Western Union open past nine pm... but it was well worth it, you see I went thru all of that just to learn the Mora/Vernon wand spin. johnny mystic

OK, I will have to buy them sometime when I get some dough...
And sorry Mr. Palmer, I did NOT mean that I wanted to see it performed from DVDs... Thanks all! Tanner |

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
What part of Canada are you in? There are some fellows in various parts of the country who do the wand spin. You might be able to get one of them to show it to you.

Wow I will see if I can video it. I can do it with both hands and I learned it from a book. The Ammar book teaches it quite nicely.
"The Magic Of Michael Ammar" Page 26 His full routines is expertly explained at this source and I would recomend the Stevens video for both the visuals and the timing. Armed with both of those you should have no trouble at all learning his routine. The video wil be performance only of me. Later, Mobius |
