In the magician and the cardsharp there is a peek that is continuously referred to on the cut. Whenever Allen Kennedy would cut for another dealer, he could peak the top few cards. Any idea where I could information on such a sleight?

You know the timing for it and you know how far it can get - you could try to pick up a pack and cut it and see how in the world it could get done.
I would say that is the best method. Andrei |

Ok, thanks for the reply. I'm just having problems getting the peek down. The only way I know how to perform this is by tilting the deck and buckling but its way to obvious. Does anyone else have any techniques to it?

Are you cutting it by the long or short ends?

I am not a Black Jack player but there is a thing called....well I am not sure what it's called but I call it the drop. It sort works like this:
One player acts tired, he has his head low down, resting on his arms, close to the table top. His partner goes to cut lifting the cards, like opening a book kinda, so his pal can see what would be the bottom card if the cut was completed, but a few cards are dropped off the thumb, so what might have been the bottom cards are now going be the top cards. Simple but effective. It might sound blatant but it has been successfully used in casinos in the past but I don’t think you would get away with it today, as it’s well known to them know.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Just use a midget for that technique, it would work better.

Don't think you can do at Black Jack now anyway, cos they now use a cut card to cut.
