I have been contemplating getting this set and wanted to check on opinions

Firstly I think the coins are post 1921 (i could be wrong) so they are likely to be in an unworn condition.
Secondly, I don't own the set but I would guess they are very good since joe porper is notorious for making quality props. However, If I were going to spend that amount of money on coins.....and I have many times over. I would spend the little extra and go to one of the specialist like todd lassen or jamie schoolcraft. Just my opinion. |

Anyone out there who has this Morgan Dollar set from Porper?

I'm in agreement with you Paul, 100%. I don't have the Porper Morgan set, but I have a few of Todd's sets (U3F and custom ChinaTown set using Morgans and the Schneider dragon coin) and both sets are extrodinary. I have a couple of Joe P's items (not coin sets), also extrodinary quality. But I'm a firm believer in buying from specialists, and Todd is the man when it comes to coins.
