This is a miss made girl but whit some modifications,
many constructors build it , but this version is not very simple in real conditions ( search on an original miss made illusion), you can perform in a theatre? you can use tr.. d..r? |

This is the Catherine Bach Lazer sawing from Lear Jet vanish special. It's based on a concept given to Copperfield by French magician and designer, Christian Fechner. I wouldn't really consider it a mismade as nothing is switched around, rather, just the removal of the torso.
French magician Dominique Webb , however, uses this same principal in his mismade http://www.dominiquewebb.com/GR%20ANDES.htm (pictues at the bottom of the page). Matt |

I'm really surprised we haven't seen this illusion out there since DC did it.
Maybe it's too complicated to knock-off! |

WHOA!!!! I remember, years ago, seeing pictures of this illusion but I had never seen it performed until now. Unbelievable! Now, for all those who wonder why DC is where he is today, this is a classic example. Really, how many of us can claim that much rehearsal and attention to detail? Try to imagine what the routine would look like in the hands of 90% of today's illusionists- I can just hear the overused dramatic music now. If I had spent the money on a prop like this, I'd certainly get all that I could out of it, but, WOW, David thought of everything here. I especially like the subtlety near the end where the girl's hand actually does reach out the door (dispelling the m****r theory to the audience). The legs looked as good as could be imagined, and the walking box was a neat idea. Nothing was rushed, and there was a logical reason for everything that happened. You just don't see a routine like this today, not to mention all those years ago. Really, I wish we would see more of this type of thing from David, and I don't just mean the illusion, but the PERFORMANCE!

Yes really a good stuff,
but Webb is a little bit different to Copperfield version, Webb is a Miss made whit a a good refresh ( Webb don't move evry box ,face and foots boxs are one on the top of the secondth) Copperfield version (all boxes are separated and on the ground), in evry manner all are a beautiful ideas. |
