It's a pretty good effect that baffles a lot of people.
This is an effect that was marketed under the name "Disc-color-ation" when Rachel Wild and Tom Jones were together, which they included in their lecture notes. In their original marketed version, they sold "handcrafted walnut tiles with inlaid colored discs" to use in the effect. Now that Rachel and Tom are no longer together (not sure that really had anything to do with it), she has taken the effect (same method) and changed it into this. I've had a good time with it in the past. Mark. |

Haven't I seen this before? with Dominoe's? and with colored beads?
My nephew has a set of dominoes with Farm animals and I do this trick sometimes. I presume we're talking here about the presentation using cards, which is convenient for carrying around, but the trick itself is not proprietary is it? Or have I been ripping someone off all along by performing this trick? Oh dear! -MM |

Yes MM, that's the trick. It is not a proprietary effect and has been around for years. The props used in this one have just been changed. If one knows the effect, they can create it using all sorts of things.
The version being sold is, as you mention, easy to carry around given it's size. It's a great idea seeing how playing poker is HUGE today. Mark. |

Excellent, it is a cool trick, especially if you can do it with some toys or something already belonging to the kid. It removes the possibility that you have some sort of trick dominoes.
The only downside of the cards is it opens up that possibility in the mind of the spectator of trick cards. This is one of those effects that I'd wait a year or two to perform, when some set of objects present themselves, rather than carry around with me, so I can perform it anytime. -MM |

Any more thoughts on this one? More info? The description isn't as detailed as I would like. Thanks

This is so old it's new again. I have always thought of it more as a puzzle, but with the right presentation and maybe the right props, it might be good for a few more miles. Maybe something like ESP card symbols.
Woke up.
Fell out of bed. Dragged a comb across m' head. |

It works well in the local pub with ordinary dominoes which most pubs in the U.K have behind the bar.
