Hello:

Can anyone tell me if P&A Silks is still in business? I've gone to their website, and found a banner I'd like to buy. I get no response to my emails or phone calls to them. Their outgoing phone message is real generic - doesn't identify them as P&A.

I've dealt with them before, and they were hard to reach and slow to respond then, but I've gotten no response to repeated tries this time. Their website doesn't look like it's been updated for a year or so.

I sincerely hope the answer to that question is "Yes". I am a fan of Peter's good artwork. Unfortunately, I have not had contact with him in a long time.

Peter is still in business, though he has cut back some. He has eliminated many of the conventions and dealers. I talked with him at length about 2 months ago.

I have also ordered some P&A Silks items from Denny and Lee's before. So, that's another source for some of his products.

He is also correct. Over the years, Peter did wholesale P&A silks to dealers for resale. (Including yours truly. But I sold out.) Go fishing! The older the dealer's business, the better your chances of finding what you seek.

Follow up:

Peter White did call me back yesterday, and has the item I want, so that's great. He did say he has nothing to do with the website, and that his web person brings him a stack of emails every few months. I didn't ask, but it sounds like Peter does not use a computer or the internet.

In any case, P&A is still in business, and Peter was very friendly and helpful.

I spoke to Peter on the phone yesterday, and I saw both Peter & Cynthia three weeks ago at Metro Magic 2.
