Here's a little tip to get a few more miles out of your rough and smooth decks (invisable, brainwave, mental phototography, ect)
go to your local hobby store and buy a can of clear flat paint in the spray can it will cost you 3 or 4 bucks and you will be able to renew 3 or 4 decks I've seen this in one magic store ,but they tore the label off and sold it to me as roughing spray for 12 bucks I hope this helps some of you sincerly BRAD RUSH |

Also, try rubbing some Cashmere Bouquet soap on the smooth sides of the cards. Cut a corner off of the bar and it will be much easier to apply enough of it to the cards.

Hey Alan,
What benefit does the Cashmere Bouquet soap add to the deck handling characteristics? Is this soap hard to find? Thanks, A.J. |

Alan, does it need to be Cashmere Bouquet or can it be any kind of bar soap?
Also I have a set of Queens Out of Control. The cards are not Bikes. They are some off brand. They are not very good and are starting to stick together. Will using the soap correct this problem? Thanks

I've been using Testor's dull coat and it seems to work great. Plus it's beaucoup cheaper than the formal 'Roughing Sprays' offered by various magic supply companies.

I didn't want to start a new topic but I've got to tell someone. I just got my very own invisible deck in the mail and I've got to say that Magic is Great! I've looked at these threads and wondered what the heck you guys were talking about with your fluids and paints. I could see no connection to the amazing trick I saw demo'd. When I opened my package and spread the cards I was fooled the first time. "Hey" I said, "This is just an ordinary...oh my..oh my god...crackers this is coooool!!"
Sorry guys, had no where else to turn. Magic is so cool! This deck rocks. Kevin |
