Hey, Professor Dan. I think if I was a kid, I would want you to come to my birthday party! You look terrific, and I bet your tricks are clever and silly!!

I love dressing up, but then, I also like the black pants with a red silk shirt as well. It all depends on what the customer would like. |

I do my children's shows as a wizard, and I have two different costumes - a green and a black. I wish I could find more costumes at Internet stores, but the offerings are limited. I had to have them altered to be able to reach into my dress pants for items during the show. I haven't found a problem using them; after all, I am a wizard.

I've done basically blazer and slacks for the most part. I did have a "Count Dracula" look I used for one Halloween show, but it didn't play very well.
A weird moment in the Halloween show was that I used to do Color Changing Shoelaces. I found a presentation I was happy with where I told the kids I generally like to dress up as fruit for Halloween! "This (yellow lace) was the lace to my banana costume." (Pass it through the hand) "This (green lace) was the lace to my lime costume." (Yells of 'What's in your hand?') "This? (red lace) This is the lace to my apple costume!" This was about a week before Halloween. On the actual Halloween, I wore my wizard's robe (which I don't use for shows, it's not practical) and I get to one house, the mother is putting candy in my kid's bags, and a child peeks around from the mother and says, "Hey! I thought you said you dressed as a fruit for Halloween!" I told him all my fruit costumes were missing a shoelace, and I had to wear my "civvies!"

I miss Halloween.... It is the only day of the year I wear my work clothes and fit right in.
Having a strong character with a reason and consistent theme is very important. I guess it is for this very reason that I will not be doing parasol magic anytime soon...LOL
