This is a collection of all of the mindreading gags in the book. They are well produced on high quality cardboard. You get the baby gag, the all on one card gag, the NO gag, and several others.
What you don't get is credit to the originators for some of these that are not quite in the public domain, for example, Fumio Inagake's prize-winning UPC code gag is in there, uncredited. I checked with Fumio at the TAOM convention in Dallas to see if he had given permission for this to be used. He hadn't. For the record, this gag took the comedy trophy at the TAOM in 1986. So, I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. Should the baby gag have been credited to Ken Brooke?

Bill:
I'm not sure about the baby gag, as I remember reading George Anderson using it in one of his routines, and he called it "old." It could be that Ken came up with it, or it could be that he rediscovered it and modernized it. BUT, there is not debate ont he UPC application. Publishing that in the set without permission shows either a lack of research, or a lack of caring. Possibly both. That is not right, and I won't purchase it or support them. Tony |

It wouldn't surprise me if Ken had pinched the gag. But Paul Stone is still producing it, I think.
Considering that Max was a consultant on this one, I'm surprised Fumio's gag got past him. Fumio told me that Paul Diamond had marketed it with his permission.

The question I have about this effect, is why is it so expensive? I see it priced around $70 to $75. For some gag cards and a poster this seems kind of pricey. Any idea why it costs so much?
Never criticize someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away from them and you will have their shoes.
