Dear Paul,
it is a pleasure and a great inspiration to have you here. Thank you for this . . . I have a simple question on practicing - would you mind to share how do you practice? Have you developed special routines for this amd so on? Thanks a lot and all the best Andy

I still practice daily. I run through my arsenal of sleights with cards and coins, on a regular basis even if I'm not performing those things. If I know ahead of time that I will be doing a certain routine coming up, I rehearse it even if it's a routine I have been doing for years. On new material, I practice in my mind, in depth, to every detail before I even pick up the props. I never have used a mirror. I think it develops a bad habbit of fooling only yourself. You must use your imagination, your mind's EYE to step out of yourself to observe yourself, being yourself.

I "Practice" until I loose my "Focused Attention", without that you are prone to bad habits, delusion about progress and worst of all boredom. Keep practice fun, it keeps you coming back for more.
