Hi I´m Patr!ck and I´m
new into mentalmagic. Is there anybody, who knows which peek Derren is using? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eG8uo_WQec What I realy like, is that he isn´t touching the billet ( or is that a cutted video? ). Are there any must reads about Billet work. What is your opinion? So long... Patr!ck |

Read Richard Busch's "Peek Performances" and "Peek Encores"... But no, here you don't go to learn Derren's peek.

Hi,
BEar in mind that being on television, there are lots of ways of slightly altering what has happened - the effect is the same, but it can keep out those who will pause and rewatch and figure out methods, so this is done to prevent those people from discovering methods at work. Ok, for material. I will suggest the 13 steps to mentalism as the place to start, there you will find a ton of information on getting information, as well as being the bible of mentalism. Also, Annemann's Practcial Mental Effects, OSterlind's, Banachek's and Cassidy's DVDs all spring to mind for study, for billet work, and I have heard that Zingg's Billet course is a comprehensive place for billet workers. Hi Simon and Cristobal,
well I have to say that I don't´t want to learn his version. I was only amazed, because I don´t saw a peek. Thanks for your tips concerning the other material. I will have a look. Are there any other must reads? So long... Patr!ck |

If you can find it, Obsidian Oblique has a full billet peek, although apparently this only pops up on ebay from time to time for a considerable price.

If you are new to Mentalism, billet work may not be your best first choice in things to study.
In peeks and tears, both Osterlind's 'Perfected Center Tear' and Ran Pink's 'Think Pink' (almost out of print now, less than 24 copies left) are easy and practical.

Hi Tom,
thanks for your tip concerning billet work. I do Mentalmagic nearly a year and use usually the Perfect Center Tear. The using of a CT depends on the routine. I think a peek fits better in my routine. @Scott I´m interested in the Phoenix, but I have a question. A pm is on it´s way. So long... Patr!ck |

I am creating the X-X-X series of mentalism volume one will be the
chronicles of x- pellet gun catch, first class opener, outlaw deck, dim mak, my cell phone prediction system with think a drink routine, and confabulation variant. x-ray eyes- Street work on the blindfold that SHOULD end in a blindfold drive, still waiting to be filmed. Q and a and various other effects. Most blindfold work doesn't give you the real work and/or the routines, this will. Peeks (p E' x)- features various phoenix routines including drawing duplciation/q and a/think a drink/and more, the classic phoenix peek, updated one hand method, and completed treatise on variations on the phoenix theme that have been emailed to me.... |

Scott:
I'd love to see the Pellet Gun effect. I used to close with one I developed back in the 80's. It was well recieved, and at one time had it on a tape from an interview on NHKTV in Japan. Maybe it was liked so much because I got shot in the face. :gunfighter: Tony |

They said more than "ouch!" when I did it.
Why do you think I look the way I do? |

I was hoping it was a genetic experiment from mr. And Mrs. Iacoviello...
