David Acer's EXTREME CLOSE-UP DVD has bonus clips of him performing the magic from the DVD on TV. Might give you some ideas.
Go here: http://www.mjmmagic.com/store/extreme-cl......502.html There's a video clip of the DVD. David is one of the finest close-up magicians in the world. Chris

Not to toot my horns or anything like that, but here are some options...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AOcTvHPBQQ Blow Me A Kiss-- I have performed this on national T.V. more than any of my tricks aside from my cups and balls. Just give it a thought, a try perhaps? I'm sure you don't even have to purchase my stuff. You'd get it down. This simple trick has served me well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiS_8TvZxKw The Boss' Ultimate Birthday Trick-- Another one that I have tried and tested. It has worked for me on any occasion. Be it in person or on T.V. PM me for any help I could offer. Rannie aka The Boss aka The Manila Enforcer

I think Skinner's Ultimate three card monte is very visual and might work well on TV.

For television, I like the kind David Copperfield and Lance Burton performs that involes a spectator from the tv viewers. Somehow they would have you choose a card being shown to you, then they will find the card.
One way is for the magician to have a short card in the deck. He will riffle the cards toward the camera telling you to view a card. He'll end up showing you the F****d card with a good ending. |

Consider something that is happening in your hands (possibly at chest level) or yours and the hosts/ guests hands rather than effects that involve a layout on a table and are probably not that good for the camera. Something you've never seen on TV yourself, direct and visual or funny.

This is a great effect but I wouldn't recommend you perform any effect on TV where you have to deal piles of cards. Dead time....
All the best, Kranzo

Hope this helps. Chris

Avoid Brainwave Deck. Certainly in the UK, it's been done to death on TV.

Really? I've never even seen it done by magicians here in the US! Or am I thinking of something else?
