I had dreamed up an act some years ago. I haven't put much effort into the act other then a lot of thinking and writing it all out.
The perfect end to this act would be for a floating person under a sheet (Asrah) to turn into doves as I rip the sheet away to vanish them. I was wondering if anyone knows if this has been done before or if there is already information out there on it. I'm going to start working this act out and would like to research. Possibly contact anyone who might have already done it before. Thanks. Ron Jaxon |

Hi Ron,
Yes it has been done before. You can see a video of Greg Frewin performing it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4wYt4HjFxU Best, Tim |

Thanks Tim.
That gives me a place to start and I'll contact Greg. His method might work with some modification. It's a little different then what I have in mind though. Maybe I'm using the wrong name. I always get "Asrah" and the other similar levitation (Is it agah/agrah?). What I need is the one where the person is floating under the sheet up over your head and you rip the sheet away from you while it's above you. In my act it'll be a flag over the floating body. Thanks again Tim. Ron Jaxon |

Asrah is the "float under a cloth and vanish"-levitation. The other one is called Aga...

Hi Ron,
Whoops .. sorry my mistake. Greg performs this illusion daily in his Niagara Falls show and he ends it with a really well done asrah and vanish. ( you can see the girls head right up until the vanish is about to happen ) I had remembered him covering up the girl in the video before the vanish but that didn't happen. It must be because I've seen his asrah so many times live that I assumed that's how he ended the video as well. I just watched the video again and noticed it wasn't an asrah vanish after all. The head being visible until the last seconds was such a WOW factor for me! I loved it..

Actually you where a big help Tim. Because the method he used can also be used with an Asrah vanish. Just a matter of lining things up.

Ron, I tried to pm you but your box was full. Why are you calling your assistant "a body". If it is a Flag that you are using please use it in good taste.

Oh, the flag definitely has a reason in this act and it's very appropriate.

Joseph Gabrial has been ending his Asrah with the appearance of a bird under the cloth for a very long time.

I think from the few hints, " Flag, doves..." I can see where Ron is headed with this. And it stands to be a very strong effect...Frankly, Ron, if your thinking what I think your thinking, it's brilliant. If you decide not to use it can I?

Thanks everyone.
The act I'm working on for this is something very personal to me. I'm not going to go into the entire act here but I'll tell you this. It's inspired by the true story of when my older brother died while serving in the military. This happened when I was a teenager. I know this might seem a little forward and, well, I don't know how to explain it. but I want to do this act for myself. If the use of the flag offends anyone then that's their problem. I live in the USA and I'll show my pride if I want to. The flag does fit the act perfectly. I'm sure you can tell by what inspired this act the flag is used in a funeral setting (One really was draped over his casket). Thanks again. Ron Jaxon |

Ron,
Thank you for clearing up the "Flag" issue. We owe so much to our veterans that fight for our freedom everyday...As you can tell by my post, I have great respect for our Country and those that fight to protect it(Flag). Please keep me updated with your act. Best Wishes, James |

Anyone know the name of the song used in Frewin's clip above?
