Does anyone know who purchased the blue chalet zig-zag that was on magic auction. The particular model, which broke down into two breifcases, started at $999.00, and must have been bought right away. Please let me know.
Sincerely, Beau A. Miller

I got my last Chalet Zig-Zag for 8 hundred. It is a beautiful work of art, and I would love another one in a different color. If I find the guy who got the one on the auction, I will buy it, no doubt about it. So whose got it...
-Beau P.S. I will make him an offer he can't refuse. But don't worry, no one will be finding a bloody horse head in their bed.

Because the chalet zig-zag is so nice. I would love to have a back up or maybe just two of them in different colors.

The secret is out. I bought the Chalet zig zag at magic auction for a bit more than a grand. Unfortunately the condition was overstated. It is from 1976 and should have been listed as looking ok from the stage. It was not in very good condition as stated. The 2 cases were worthless. Initially all of the hardware was missing but I found it packed with another item from the same seller. Newer chalet items are coated with Tuf Kote finish. This one is just painted and pretty worn. Overall it was worth about what I paid for it... not a penny more. Maybe less. So there is no need to eat your hearts out. I paid twice that for a Chalet Cube zag on ebay in mint condition. Now that was worth it.

When I worked Tombstone Junction in Kentucky in the mid-seventies, my whole three-person illusion show was built by George Kimery--Zig-Zag, sub trunk, Doves to Rabbit, electronic Gloves to Dove, electronic Dove in Balloon, and others.
Five shows a day for four months straight. Never had a technical problem due to the equipment. That is a great compliment to Chalet Magic and the wonderful quality of their stuff. Great stuff. Worth more than what you pay for it. |

Just to make it clear, I am not attacking the quality of Chalet equipment. What I was saying was that the USED zig zag listed on Magic Auction, which I purchased, was in much poorer used condition than the seller advertised. In my opinion. There was nothing wrong with the design. So those of you thinking that you missed out on a bargain should not feel too bad about it. It wasn't really a bargain.
