WOW....if only I had $2900 to spend on one trick! I think this will be on the all-time wish list! This must be how Criss Angel did his levitation on his show. If you haven't seen the demo, check it out!
http://www.antoncorradin.com/en/lounge.php Someone has to have this...if so can we get a review? You never know I may win the lottery soon! |

I'm still having trouble forgiving Corradin for TELEKENISIS FOR DINNER, one of the most unforgivably awful effects ever...!!

I used to own a Lounge Suspension. The thing that sucks about it is that you need an assistant. I was under the impression that it could be done with a spectator from the audience.
Also, you end VERY dirty, well, actually, the person being levitated ends really dirty. And it's tough to clean up. It's also very physically demanding for the assistant, even more so than a standard broom suspension. Good idea, looks cool when done right, but not completely practical.

Lol, the demo at 1.03 minutes. As his head is placed on the chair, his feet prematurely and breifly come off the floor so he quickly puts his feet back down. I'll pass on this

Funny.... Impractical and Leaving you dirty seem to be the order of the day with this guy's stuff... the aforementioned TELEKENESIS FOR DINNER requires you to subtly conceal and use an enormous contraption that is larger than any human hand or pocket..

Jeesh...I thought it looked pretty good. It's the first time I've seen him. How does it end dirty? I can't see the dirt??? Of course I have no experiance with this effect or this magician. What is dirty with his performance? What am I missing?
Thanks in advance, Marc |

The dirt walks off stage (slowly and stiffly) with the assistant.
That's if the assistant is in great shape and has not pulled something from the strains. And note the amount of dress on the assistant, no frilly-girl-ly costumes to use here. Also note the specific movements of the magician before and during. Yeah, it looks really good in theory, I think some kinks need to be worked out. That's me anyway, Walt |

Looked good to me, it is not my bag of tea though. I can definately see some uh stiffness in the presentation. If I cant do something by myself I usually don't get into it. Looked nice.

The spectator has to be a good strong pal of yours. Yogano had something like this that was 100 times better. The work was ON the performer. But, it was difficult to do. But it was awesome (compared to this).
The basic idea here is good, but I would suggest getting someone that really knows how to build things, like Johnny Gaughan to devise a method for your if you really want something like this.

Looks relatively standard.

I actually owned one of these and, no, it cannot be done with a spectator as the ad implies. It CAN be done, but the "spectator" has to be a stooge or, at the very, very least pre-show work down with him/her to be set him up and run through the work on his part, and then he would have to go offstage to "unload" before returning to his seat in the audience.
So, no, if you're thinking you could just get someone up, like the Ladder Levitation, and do this, I'm afraid not. I can also tell you that the apparatus is pretty flimsy and difficult for the assistant to work with. Interesting concept, relatively poor execution. |
