Before you read further, say it aloud...
OPPORTUNITYISNOWHERE How did you pronounce it? Did you read it as “opportunity is nowhere” or “opportunity is now here”? Supposedly, the pessimistic will read it as “nowhere”, whereas the optimistic will read it as “now here”. Some of you have probably seen this before. I first saw it years ago, but I recently read it in a magazine again, and wanted to share it, because I thought it was interesting. So how did you read it?

No where...
Am I a optimist or pessimist? If you were to ask me, I'd actually have a hard time answering that question... If it were a a chart ..... Pessimistic -----*---- Optimistic I'd be right about there. |

I read it as No where when Dan IM'd it to me...and I'm disgustingly optimistic.

If you didn't want a glass of water, a full one would be worse.
BTW No where. I'm optimistic that we'll all die a fiery death.

Another little trivia bit about pessimists and optimists..they say it's a fact that (This sounds weird, I know) but they say that usually a pessimist will have a larger left nostril, and an an optimist will usually have, in most cases, a larger right nostril. I SWEAR I did not make that up.

I read nowhere.
When I read the first post, I was dubious. "Opportunity is nowhere" sounded more natural to me. "Opportunity is now here" didn't seem like a phrasing anyone would ever use, so I doubted anybody would really read it. But if people have found a port and snow in there, all bets are off. |
