I have only recently discovered some of your wonderful material that you have put out for instant downloads.
Of all the excellent card and coin items you have created, which are the ones you use most for a lay audience? |

I use Crowded Coins in every show I do. It's my opening effect.
For the last year I've been doing my Coins To Glass, refining the method and that's been my trick of choice for the last few months since I got it down. It just went up on my site, if you're interested. I also just put up Refried Poker, another regular item from my shows. I use all the moves on the site regularly but I generally choose the effects I'm most interested in for the audience I'm working for (outside of formal shows). Everything on the site is something I use or have used for some time. P |

I really enjoy some of your original moves in coin work. However I don't see Crowded coins in any of the e- books. What is this effect? Is it the same as 'completely crowded' (3 fly routine)?
Also I noticed you mentioned Refried Poker. I have never been a huge fan of self working tricks. This is listed as easy and yet it is strong enough to be used regularly? What about this trick makes it appealing for you as a performer and magical for the audience? |

Out Of This Worls is a self working effect but it's still one of the best card tricks ever invented. Refried is easy to do but the better you perform it, the bigger the impact.
Completely Crowded is my complete Crowded Coins routine. BTW - I'm having a few problems with the website due to software issues earlier this year. If you can't get the cart to work, paypal me directly, listing what you are ordering and I will email you the files manually, at the earliest opportunity. P |

I know it seems obvious but the self working stuff like out of this world is frustratingly strong because of the audience interaction. Makes me think that all those years knuckle busting are a waste of time. I suppose that I have been ignoring a lot of good material because it doesn't use all the obscure sleights I have learned.
Perhaps its time I spent more effort on presentation. Sounds like 'refried poker' is just what I need. |

Someone just asked about how I introduce the ten cards - you could have any ten selected and use a sleight to switch in the setup. You could use a cull to collect and stack the ten cards - you could set them on the bottom and use ten bottom deals to force them!
Many self working effects can be improved with a sleight or too but beware of adding sleights just for the sake of it (i.e. ignore first paragraph)! Also - a well placed self working trick, among some sleight of hand, can make you look like an absolute miracle worker. P |
